Hotline Bling – DJ Prodigee Mashup
DJ Prodigee created Hotline Bling – DJ Prodigee Mashup due to the lack of remixes. As a result, DJ Prodigee set out to create a truly unique remix of Drake’s Hotline Bling. While searching for inspiration, DJ Prodigee ran across Erykah Badu’s remixed version on Youtube.com. As soon as he heard it, he knew that he needed to do a mashup. DJ Prodigee jumped into Protools and began working on the mashup. Hours passed by due to a lack of high quality acapellas and instrumentals available at the time. Consequently, this proved to make this mashup, just that much more difficult. Rather than give up, DJ Prodigee pushed through and thus resulted in a great track that got great response locally.
