Prodigee built his ear before he ever built a set. Two decades inside the music — first as a musician, then as a DJ — gave him the dynamism that defines his sound today.

Prodigee is an open-format DJ who proudly sports 12 years of experience under his belt, and with over 20 years of being a musician, DJ Prodigee has developed a great sense of dynamism in his sound. This entails a distinct ability to mix a diverse range of tracks that are tactfully selected to suit any given moment or event.
With confidence, his mixes take the partygoer on a roller coaster of timeless emotions, via an electrifying dance floor journey of exciting peaks and deep, cerebral lows.
That musician's ear is what makes the open-format work. Where many DJs trade in one bag of tricks, Prodigee can swing from hip-hop to amapiano, afrobeats to house, R&B to dancehall — without breaking the room's energy. The transitions aren't tricks; they're musical arguments. The room agrees because the math works.
Today he's based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, available for weddings, clubs, festivals, military formals, corporate, and universities — and for the right room, available worldwide.

From bedroom to the booth
The first decks arrive. Late nights spent learning beatmatching, EQ, and song structure — translating a percussionist's instincts into a DJ's hands.
2012
Goes pro — military & university circuit follows
Books his first paid gigs and the institutional clients land right alongside. USS Abraham Lincoln Chief's Mess, USS San Diego, San Diego State University, the SD Black LGBTQ+ Coalition — the roster starts stacking the same year he turns pro. 2014
Audio engineering at Full Sail University
Heads to Full Sail to study audio engineering. The musician's ear picks up the technical vocabulary to match — signal flow, EQ, gain staging, room acoustics. Cleaner mixes, smarter rigs, better-sounding rooms.
2024
Lands in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex
